Overview
This project was a custom WordPress website build for Mr Vac, delivered through a third party.
Although the site itself was a straightforward build, the work still needed the usual structure that keeps a brochure-style business website maintainable: planning, a safe staging workflow, reusable templates, responsive styling, content population, and final launch.
Scope Of Work
My responsibilities on the project included:
- planning the build
- setting up a staging environment
- developing custom template files for each page
- making those templates reusable for future customer updates
- responsive styling development
- adding the supplied content
- testing with the customer to confirm the site worked properly across devices
- pushing the completed site to the live server
Why This Project Matters
Projects like this can look small from the outside, but they still need to be handled properly if the end result is going to be useful to the client after launch.
The important part here was not just getting pages online. It was building the site in a way that the customer could continue using. Reusable templates make future edits easier. A staging environment reduces risk during development. Responsive testing with the client helps avoid the common problem where a site looks acceptable on one screen size and breaks on another.
Delivery Notes
This was a clean custom WordPress build with a practical implementation focus rather than a large application-style scope. The result was a site that was structured for reuse, tested for responsiveness, populated with the supplied content, and prepared for live deployment.
