Privacy Policy.

How I collect, use and protect your personal information.

What this covers.

This site, antondevilliers.com, and the enquiries you send through it.

What I collect when you contact me.

Your name, email address, and your message and subject. Phone number and company name are optional. The ‘Tell me the problem’ box on other pages collects the same kind of information: the path you picked, the problem in your own words, and any extra notes. I use it to reply to you about your enquiry, and for nothing else.

How I keep spam out.

The forms use a hidden spam trap and Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people and bots apart without a puzzle in most cases.

Where your enquiry is stored.

In a database I run for this site. SendGrid sends the reply emails and Vercel hosts this site; both process your data only to provide that service. Your enquiry isn’t sold, rented or shared with anyone for marketing.

How I know which page you came from.

When you click a button such as ‘Tell me the problem’, the site notes which page and offer it was on, in your browser’s local storage, so your enquiry reaches me with that context.

Analytics.

I use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages lead to enquiries. It records things like your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit.

Cookies.

The site, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity use cookies and browser storage. Analytics cookies are on unless you turn them off: use Reject All on the cookie banner, or Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. You can also block them in your browser; the forms still work.

Emails from me.

I only email you about your enquiry, unless you ask for more.

Your rights.

Under POPIA you can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Use the contact form or call +27 87 150 9305.

Security.

I take reasonable steps to protect what you send me, but no method of sending or storing data over the internet is completely secure.

Changes to this policy.

If I change this policy, I update the date at the top of this page. If a change is material, I also email you or post a notice on this page.

For your technical person

Contact form fields collected: full name, email, phone (optional), company (optional), subject, message; the homepage starter form collects a path, a problem and optional notes, combined into the same message field.

Spam protection: a honeypot field and Cloudflare Turnstile.

Offer attribution stored client-side, in the browser’s local storage: an offer key, offer source, target market, CTA location and related fields, used to route enquiries and fire GA4 events.

Analytics: GA4 conversion events, not just generic Google Analytics.

Storage: a PostgreSQL database. Processors: SendGrid for outbound email, Vercel for hosting.
