What the business needed.
Proficient Auto Transport needed a way for customers to look up their online shipping order using their vehicle’s VIN number, directly on the website, without contacting support for a status update.
What I did.
I built a small JavaScript app that connects to an external API and pulls in shipment details for a given VIN, packaged inside a custom WordPress plugin so the client could add it to the site with a shortcode. I found and tested a results-table layout that worked cleanly on desktop, tablet and mobile.
What they got.
A simple, self-service way for customers to check their shipment status without picking up the phone.
