How the engagement runs
Shopify projects vary based on complexity and the depth of integration required.
- Checkout extensions and campaign flows: one eligible, written acceptance boundary.
- Custom Shopify apps: a privately quoted first capability inside the existing store.
- ERP integrations and credit systems: the written plan (paid discovery) first when API, data or reconciliation risk remains uncertain.
The Shopify plan, API eligibility, access and integration boundary get reviewed first, then it’s confirmed whether the next useful step is a direct quote or the written plan. Work is delivered in phases, each quoted before it starts, with regular check-ins, built to work in production and compliant with Shopify policies.

- What kind of Shopify work do you do? Custom Shopify apps, Checkout Extensibility integrations, ERP connections, credit and loyalty systems, enrollment platforms, post-purchase verification flows, and embedded React SPAs. Basic theme customisation or template installs are not part of this work.
- Do you work with Shopify Plus? Yes. Several projects are built on Shopify Plus using Checkout Extensibility, built within Shopify’s framework and policies so they don’t break on the next platform update.
- Can you integrate Shopify with my ERP or CRM? Yes. Bidirectional integrations between Shopify and enterprise ERPs like Exigo have been built, including real-time data sync, automated commission tracking and conflict resolution. Any system with an API can be integrated.
- How is this different from hiring a Shopify agency? Most Shopify agencies focus on themes, templates and app store plugins. This is the custom engineering those agencies typically don’t take on: verification systems, credit management, enrollment workflows and enterprise integrations, worked directly with the person building it, not a project manager.
- Do you build Shopify themes? No. This work focuses on custom application development, integrations and systems engineering. A theme customisation is better handled by a theme specialist; a custom app built inside a Shopify store is what this covers.

What kind of Shopify work do you actually do?
Custom work inside your Shopify store: checks before someone can buy, credit or loyalty balances, and connecting your store to another system you use. Not basic theme design.
Do you work with Shopify Plus?
Yes, including the newer checkout customisation Shopify Plus allows, built to keep working after Shopify updates something on its end.
Can you connect Shopify to the other systems we use?
Yes. If a system has a way for other software to talk to it, your store can usually be connected to it.
How is this different from a Shopify agency?
Most Shopify agencies do themes and templates. This is the custom engineering work those agencies usually don’t take on, and you work with me directly, not an account manager.
Do you design or build Shopify themes?
No. If you need a theme designed, I can point you to someone who does. What I build is a custom tool or system inside the store you already have.
Will this break the next time Shopify updates something?
It’s built inside Shopify’s own rules, not around them, specifically so it keeps working after Shopify updates something.
What if I’m not sure this needs custom work at all?
