A comprehensive cloud-based practice management system designed for healthcare professionals, with a focus on dental and orthodontic practices. This project is presented as an independent healthcare platform case study based on work developed through Villiers Vision Works. It manages the full lifecycle of patient engagement — from initial consultation through ongoing treatment, billing, and reporting.
Built with multi-tenant architecture, role-based access control, audit logging, consent workflows, and encryption at rest and in transit.

The patient management layer covers demographic capture, medical history, emergency contacts, multi-scheme medical aid support with benefit tracking, and practice-specific data sharing with consent controls.
Billing & Financial Management
Billing and financial management include service-based billing with product catalogues, quote-to-invoice workflows with PDF generation, multi-method payment processing for cash, EFT, card, and medical aid claims, automated claim submissions, and financial reporting with revenue analytics.
Appointment Scheduling
The scheduling engine supports real-time availability across multiple practitioners, recurring appointments, patient self-booking, and holiday or exception handling with conflict detection.
Clinical Documentation
Clinical documentation covers structured consultation and treatment notes, advanced 32-tooth dental charting with surface-level tracking, and audio note capture capability.
Orthodontic Treatment Tracking
Orthodontic treatment tracking includes automated stage scheduling with patient notifications, plus photo and model uploads for before-and-after comparisons.
Practice & Staff Administration
Practice and staff administration include multi-practice support with configurable branding, practitioner credential tracking, and availability management.
Communication & Notifications
Communication and notification workflows cover email, in-system messaging, SMS, and secure PDF distribution with delivery tracking.
File & Media Management
File and media management include role-based secure storage with file validation, clinical photography, and treatment-progress media handling.
