BX1X: Your business, in one piece.
BX1X is one connected business system for quotes, bookings, stock, invoices, customers, support and the books, for owner-run businesses and private practices in South Africa and internationally.

One sale. Every part of the business knows.
The parts are connected, so nothing gets typed in twice.
An order comes in
The customer record is found or created, and the customer gets a confirmation.
Stock is set aside
The items are held for that order, so nobody sells them twice.
It’s paid
The invoice is made as soon as it’s paid.
The books catch up
Post the invoice and the books and stock update together.
In the cloud, or on your own computer.
Choose where your BX1X lives. You can start in one place and move later.
BX1X in the cloud
Nothing to install. Sign in from any browser, with the BX1X team looking after hosting and updates. Or run it on your own private server.
Installed on your computer
BX1X on a Mac or Windows computer in your office, for one person or the whole team over the office network. Your business data stays on your own machine, with encrypted backups.
BX1X Edge
The online companion for an installed BX1X. While the office computer is off, your shop stays open: customers can still order, book and pay, and BX1X checks each order when it reconnects.

Why I built BX1X.
For years I built software for other people’s businesses, and I kept walking into the same mess. Invoices in one app, bookings in another, stock on a spreadsheet, approvals on WhatsApp. The same customer typed in three times, and still nobody was sure which version was right.
I wanted to give those owners one place to run the whole business, where a sale updates the stock, the invoice and the books without anyone typing it again. That’s BX1X.
It’s built on 18 years of e-commerce and 26 years in IT and business. That experience comes from years of using many different billing and accounting packages myself, and from building systems for clients across many industries.

Questions about BX1X.
What is BX1X?
Business software that replaces the separate apps most small businesses juggle. A sale sets stock aside, tracked time becomes an invoice, and a payment updates the books, with nobody copying between apps.
Who makes BX1X?
BX1X is designed and built in Cape Town, South Africa.
Can I try BX1X before I decide?
Yes. Request a demo account at bx1x.com/demo. You get your own BX1X login, filled with sample data, to explore on your own.
Where is my data kept?
Where you run BX1X. Installed, it stays on your own computer. In the cloud, each business’s data is kept apart from every other, with two-step sign-in and a permanent sign-in record.
Can I use BX1X outside South Africa?
Yes. BX1X is available to businesses in South Africa and internationally. Quote, invoice and pay suppliers in other currencies, set up tax rates and rules for each country you trade in, and run bookings in each location’s own time zone.
What happens to online orders when my office computer is off?
With BX1X Edge, your shop stays online. Customers can still order, book and pay by card or bank transfer. When the computer reconnects, BX1X checks stock, prices and availability for each order and booking.
Does BX1X work with Shopify?
Yes. Run a BX1X online shop, connect your Shopify store, or both. Every order lands in one place, and stock is set aside when an order comes in.
Does BX1X do payroll?
Yes. South African payroll is built in: PAYE, UIF and SDL on the current SARS tables, private payslips, leave, and the figures to help you file. Payroll for other countries is set up on request.
Can BX1X be extended for my business?
Yes. BX1X is one foundation with the parts a business needs on top. New parts, including ones built for a specific business, fit without rebuilding what is there. If you need something built around it, I can build it.
How do I move my business onto BX1X?
The BX1X team does it with you: what to gather, the order it happens in, and running the old and new systems side by side until you’re ready.
