Home / React and Next.js Developer, South Africa

A React and Next.js developer building real business systems, not demos.

Business platforms built to run a real operation, including my own, BX1X.

BX1X, the business operations platform I built and still run.

Does this sound like you?

  • “We’ve been told we need a React developer, but we’re not sure what that means for our business.”
  • “The web tool we use every day was thrown together fast, and it’s starting to show.”
  • “We want one person who owns the whole system, not just the part you can see on screen.”
  • “We need something that’s actually live and running, not a portfolio demo.”
  • “Our old developer left, and nobody else understands what they built.”

What I’d do.

Understand what the tool needs to do for your business.

Not just how it should look.

Build the core screen first, on your real data.

So you can see it work early.

Take responsibility for the whole system, not just the part on screen.

And stay on after launch.

Proof.

BX1X: my own flagship business platform.

A business platform covering billing, bookings, inventory, CRM and accounting, built entirely with React and Next.js.

Authentikor: my own verification SaaS product.

For verifying documents and emails, with subscription billing and multi-tenant accounts, built the same way.

Tell me what the tool needs to do, and I’ll tell you honestly whether it’s a fit.

If it’s closer to one focused screen replacing a spreadsheet than a full system, that’s a smaller job: see single page apps instead.

Questions owners ask.

What React platforms have you built?

A business operations platform (BX1X), an enterprise point of sale processing 5,000 daily transactions across 7 branches, and an email verification product (Authentikor), plus a medical and dental practice platform covering patient records, medical aid billing, scheduling and dental charting.

Are you a frontend developer or full stack?

Full stack. I build the entire system: React frontend, Node.js API, PostgreSQL database, authentication and deployment. One engineer, every layer.

Do you also build mobile apps?

Yes. React Native for iOS and Android, typically companion apps for existing web platforms, sharing the same API layer and data.

Do you use TypeScript?

Yes. TypeScript strict mode is my default for all new projects. It catches bugs before production, makes refactoring safer and creates self-documenting code that is easier to maintain.

Where are you based?

Cape Town, South Africa. I work with clients locally and internationally across the US, UK, Europe and Australia.

Can I see working examples of your React work?

Yes. Visit bx1x.com and authentikor.co.za. Both are React and Next.js applications I built and deployed.

See it running before you decide: bx1x.com and authentikor.co.za.
